Entering the Tealight Production Workshop: The Blend of Traditional Craftsmanship and Modern Standards

2024-12-30
Recently, a reporter visited a representative tealight production enterprise in the local area to gain an in-depth understanding of the tealight production process and witness the exquisite birth of this traditional handicraft product with the support of modern technology.

In the raw material preparation stage, the procurement of high-quality Paraffin Wax is fundamental. The paraffin wax is strictly screened to ensure that its melting point, hardness and other indicators meet the combustion characteristics requirements of tealights. At the same time, the selected lead-free wicks are ready. Their thickness is adapted to the wax body to ensure a stable and sufficient burning effect.

Inside the production workshop, the melting process is of great importance. The huge wax melting kettle heats the paraffin wax to a specific high temperature until it is completely melted into a liquid state. The precise temperature control during this process not only ensures the uniform heating of the paraffin wax but also lays the foundation for the subsequent processes. After the wax liquid reaches the ideal state, it will flow into the color mixing area. Here, experienced workers carefully add food coloring according to order requirements. Through skillful stirring, the tealights are given a variety of colors. Whether it is a warm yellow, a romantic light pink or a quiet sky blue, they are all carefully blended in this process, and it is ensured that the coloring is evenly dispersed without precipitation or variegation.

Next is the injection molding process. The liquid wax is slowly poured into delicate molds. The diverse shapes of the molds - round, square, heart-shaped, etc. - meet the aesthetic and usage scenario requirements of different customers. During the cooling and solidification stage, the workshop maintains suitable temperature, humidity and ventilation conditions to allow the wax body to form smoothly. After demolding, the tealight prototype emerges, with a smooth and flat surface and distinct edges and corners.

In the final packaging process, workers carefully inspect each formed tealight. After removing defective products, they are packaged with plastic films, cartons, etc. Labels are attached, indicating key information such as the brand, fragrance type, and burning duration. Today, the tealights of this enterprise are not only popular in the domestic market but also sold overseas by virtue of their stable quality and unique design. In every usage scenario, they bring warm and elegant light and fragrance to users, continuing the new vitality of this ancient lighting and decorative item. The craftsmanship and innovation in the production process also serve as a vivid footnote to the development of the traditional handicraft industry.
